December 9, 2024 Board Meeting Minutes

The Board of Commissioners of the Union Housing Authority met on Monday, December 9th, 2024, for the regular monthly meeting. Those in attendance were Bruce Morgan, Chairman, Alexander Tucker, Vice-Chairman, Commissioner Mickey Gist and Resident Commissioner Jill Jeter. Staff present were Allen Whitener and Debbie Maness. Absent with Notice was Commissioner Genelle Alexander.

Chairman Morgan called the meeting to order and welcomed those in attendance. He declared a quorum and opened the floor for public comments. Hearing none, he then requested a motion to table approval of the minutes from last month's meeting until the January 2025 meeting. Chairman Gist made the motion to table which was seconded by Vice-Chairman Tucker. Chairman Morgan then requested to proceed with old business.

There being no old business, Ms. Maness proceeded with new business, requesting approval of the proposed budget for 2025. Chairman Gist made the motion to approve with Vice-Chairman Tucker seconding. Ms. Maness also informed the board that the Occupancy Specialist job had been announced in the local newspaper, on our website, and the SERC and CCHRCO websites. The job will be posted until December 31st.

The following resolutions were presented for approval:

# 1520 - Collection Losses
# 1521 - 2025 Operating Budget

There being no further business, Vice-Chairman motioned to adjourn the meeting, seconded by Chairman Mickey Gist, and unanimously approved by the board. The board and staff enjoyed a celebratory Christmas dinner following adjournment.

Our next meeting will be held on Monday, January 13th, 2025, which will be our annual meeting.
