ATTENTION: All Public Housing Residents
RE: Utility Allowances

As required by 24 CFR, the Union Housing Authority is required to give notice to all residents that our utility allowances will increase effective when our annual re-certifications occurs on September 1, 2024. The increase is due to the recent Utility Analysis Survey Update conducted by an outside independent organization for our housing authority earlier this year.

These new utility allowance estimates reflect current rate schedules and consumption for all our public housing units. The Purchase Power Adjustment (PPA) factors were included in determining the new utility allowances. All records and documents that support the Utility Analysis Survey Update are on file at the housing authority office at 201 Porter Street and are available for review upon request. Residents have the opportunity to submit written comments regarding utility allowances no later than August 1, 2024.
